Pioneer ha rilasciato sul mercato statunitente due nuovi modelli di speaker ideati appositamente per i Dj professionisti. L’annuncio di una prossima commercializzazione risale già a qualche mese fa, ma finalmente le nuove S-DJ08 e S-DJ05 sono finalmente in vendita. Una notizia positiva anche per noi europei: per chi è interessato sarà più semplice reperirle e acquistarle da oltreoceano e questo potrebbe significare una prossima distribuzione anche sul nostro mercato.

Gli S-DJ08 sono dotati di ottimi tweeter da 2,5 cm e da subwoofer da 8″ XLR e integrano anche un ingresso TS e due RCA, in grado di fornire frequenze da 43 Hz a 26 kHz (-10 dB).

Gli S-DJ05 invece si differenziano dall’altro modello solo a livello di prestazioni, mantenendo lo stesso design. Qui troviamo infatti i subwoofer da 5″ anzichè 8″ e una frequenza da 50 Hz a 25 kHz (-10 dB).

Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc.’s Professional Sound and Visual Division today introduces its first line of active reference monitoring speakers, S-DJ08 and S-DJ05, designed for DJing and music production. The two speaker models feature excellent sound quality, audio parameter control, built-in linear equalization and four switchable inputs, useful for DJs and producers who need to achieve the highest accuracy in musical reproduction. In addition, both speaker models offer users the ability to change settings such as sound characteristics and audio inputs via a unique manual controller. “Whether it’s producing music at home, DJing or simply auditioning music, consumers will realize the high quality sound they’re hearing out of these new Pioneer DJ speakers. Audio Quality
The compact speakers achieve a larger than normal listening area due to the use of a curved waveguide enclosure that directs the soft-dome tweeter’s sound in a wider pattern for better imaging and staging. This means more listeners across a larger area of a room can hear the higher frequencies than with traditional designs. Additionally, the Bass Reflex enclosure extends the lower frequency range to provide more mid-bass and bass output. In order to reproduce the highest quality audio possible, the speakers are also equipped with strong 10cm high-force magnets (S-DJ08) for better control of the subwoofers, a low resonance chimney-style heat sink and a bi-amp circuit that drives the tweeter and woofer separately.
